The cupcake run 5k starts from Railroad Avenue and heads outbound along the centennial trail towards Arlington along a disused railway bed which has been converted into a paved trail.
This takes you from the 5k turnaround point back south towards the finish line in Snohomish. Although its the end of winter, some of the trees along the route are starting to show signs of blossoms.
