Carron Bridge to Denny Cross
The Carron Valley and its surrounding areas are some of my favourite places for cycling - when the weather is fine. It's only about 10 miles (16kms) from my house. When you have finished cycling there are a dozen or more ways to return home but this is one of the fastest ways given that it is predominantly downhill and usually there is very little traffic. Initially the route takes you through farmland but nearing the end you will pass through the tiny villages of Thankerton and Stoneywood before reaching the final destination of Denny.
