Description

Embark on a full virtual kayaking experience through Tromlingene in Raet National Park, starting from Skarestranda. Paddle along the sheltered inner waters before venturing to the exposed outer coast, where the true power of the North Sea can be felt.

Raet National Park is home to Norway’s largest terminal moraine landscape, deposited by glaciers over 10,000 years ago. These unique coastal formations have made the area both beautiful and treacherous.

Historically, sailors feared this part of the Skagerrak due to its submerged rocks, sudden storms, and powerful currents, leading to many shipwrecks that now rest beneath the waves. Despite its harsh maritime history, the park is now a protected natural gem, offering a peaceful retreat for kayakers, birdwatchers, and nature enthusiasts.
