This stunning route follows the Coastal Path through the Sand Dunes from Hayle to Gwithian and runs alongside the 3 mile Golden Sands Beach of St Ives Bay, Cornwall, U.K., with views of the ocean and the famous Lighthouse at Godrevy. The route is part of many iconic Cornish Coastal Trail Running races, including the infamous 100 mile Arc of Attrition race, and has rightly earned the name "The Dunes of Doom" due to its difficulty and the ease of getting lost! The shifting sands of this huge Dune system are a haven for wildlife, flora and fauna, particularly Adder Snakes, keep your eyes open and you will catch a glimpse of one!
