Grangemouth to Polmont
A short ride from the industrial town of Grangemouth on the River Forth to the commuter village of Polmont. (The name Polmont derives from the Scottish Gaelic term Poll-Mhonadh, which translates into English as Pool of the Hill).
Much of the route follows dedicated cycle paths. Most of Grangemouth is flat and at sea level, whereas Polmont sits around 50mtrs above sea level. Therefore the only incline on this short ride is towards the end as we climb out of Grangemouth up to Polmont.
