The destination of the itinerary is the Capanna Monte Bar. The alpine refuge, with Bike Friendly services, enjoys a magnificent 180 degree view that ranges from Gazzirola, to the Denti della Vecchia, to the Lugano basin, to the Malcantone mountains up to Monte Tamaro. To the west, your gaze comes upon the imposing 4000 meters of the Valais Alps and from the Mischabel group to Monte Rosa.
During the ascent to the height you will encounter pastures, a hut, a refuge, a farmhouse and a mountain pasture. This is one of the classic cycling routes in the Lugano area.
