Houtribdijk, dam of the Dutch Zuidersea works
From 1963, between Lelystad and Enkhuizen, the construction of the Markerwaarddijk, which we know today as the Houtribdijk, started.
it was completed in 1975 and has a length of 26 kilometers. Since then we can officially speak of the Markermeer.
It is also called Col du Markerwaarddijk especially if you have the wind against you. Have fun on this very flat ride.
