The name Fiumefreddo derives from the river Fiumefreddo of the same name and is called Sicily to distinguish it from Fiumefreddo Bruzio in the province of Cosenza.
The municipality has about 9,000 inhabitants, in the province of Catania.
It shares its borders with the municipalities of Calatabiano to the north, Mascali to the south and Piedimonte Etneo to the west.
The walk was carried out early in the morning before the arrival of heat, when the residents were enjoying the typical breakfast with granita (of countless flavors) and brioche.
