Description

A lovely ride in the Northern part of the Veluwe (The Netherlands' largest contiguous nature reserve). This ride starts in Zwolle and heads south to cross the river IJssel to head into the Veluwe. It heads through forested area's, but also some of the towns and villages of the era. Here you might notice a lot of people wearing orange clothing and other orange things. This track was filmed on Kingsday - i.e. the King's birthday. As Orange is the colour of the Royal House, the Dutch celebrate this with orange. The ride has some nice easy climbs and ends in the valley of the river IJssel. Unfortunately there is a slight drizzle in the first 30 minutes of the video. The weather clears up afterwards.
