Col de la Machine from Saint Laurent and Royans
Want a climb all to yourself? Then the Col de la Machine is for you! By the way, don't underestimate this climb, the first part of the climb is nice and tough. You have a kilometer to get in, but after that it goes up quite steeply for 10 kilometers. Once in the two tunnels the percentages go well above 10％. All that time you hardly meet anyone, every now and then a car or a descending cyclist. The road surface is great, and on every kilometer there is a sign with how many kilometers to go. The climb is actually not really 17.5km as indicated below. With about 7 kilometers to go, some descending parts start and there is little climbing. In fact, the 'Col' is located at a point that is lower than the highest point during the climb.
