The Rider part IV - Meyrueis - Causse Noir

Here we go again. The cols here are made of air and lie upside-down in the landscape. We regroup. Six kilometers’ climb to the second high plateau, the Causse Noir. I shift, move my hands up onto the bars. Pain, my legs still have to get the knack. Climbing from plateau to plateau is particularly tiring. After you get to the top, there’s no descent to let you rest, and after you’ve been sitting still in the descent you suddenly have to give it everything you’ve got, without a rest.
