Cavareno - Mendelpass Climb - Passo Mendola dal lato Trentino

Wir kennen und lieben das Trentino - eine Alpen Region die viel zu bieten hat und mit den ganzen Pässen auch vielen Radsportlern gut bekannt ist. Der Mendelpass gehört nicht zu den Top 10 der bekannten Pässe, aber wenn man ihn praktisch vor der Haustür hat, sollte man ihn wohl befahren.

Dabei sind wir die Seite eben vom Trentino aus gefahren, das sind nur ca 450 HM am Stück, aber irgendwie muss man ja anfangen. Es gibt auch einen Radweg hoch, den können wir aber nicht empfehlen, da dort die Steigungen zu nervig sind, im Gegensatz zur normalen Straße - auf der das Fahrrad so normal ist, dass man sich keine Gedanken machen muss. Zurück ging es dann über eben besagten Radweg - der gut in Schuss gehalten wird und seine Anreize hat - aber eben besser in der Abfahrt.

Conosciamo e amiamo il Trentino, una regione alpina che ha molto da offrire e che è ben nota a molti ciclisti grazie ai suoi numerosi passi. Il Passo della Mendola non è tra i 10 passi più conosciuti, ma se lo avete praticamente davanti alla porta di casa, probabilmente dovreste percorrerlo.

Noi abbiamo percorso il versante trentino, che si trova a soli 450 metri di altitudine in una sola volta, ma in qualche modo bisogna pur partire. C'è anche una pista ciclabile, ma non possiamo consigliarla perché le pendenze sono troppo fastidiose, a differenza della strada normale - sulla quale la bicicletta è così normale che non ci si deve preoccupare. Siamo poi tornati indietro attraverso la suddetta pista ciclabile - che è ben tenuta e ha le sue attrattive - ma è migliore in discesa.

We just cycled the side from Trentino, which is only about 450 meters in one go, but you have to start somehow. There is also a cycle path up there, but we can't recommend it as the gradients are too annoying, unlike the normal road - where the bike is so normal that you don't have to worry about it.
