Hi, thank you for commenting and welcome to Kinomap! Your experience and comment are very very interesting. (Please note that these comments are generally not read by Kinomap staff.) I am using the good old Concept2 and have no experience with the newest rowing devices generation, as is your MR-R06, which obviously combines water and magnetic resistance (being therefore adaptable). Although I would deem it not to be probable, it can not be ruled out that a part of the system is really trying to do what you are describing. In my view it would anyway not emulate the real world experience correctly, because "against the current" oft means comfortably using the sweeping water spots (German: Kehrwasser). Please, can you write a short question about this to Kinomap support at support@kinomap.com, mentioning your experience, the particular video and your particular training device.
