Beautiful climb to the top of the Vosges. The first 11-12 km are doable. You drive through the wooded area of the Col Amic, don't expect spectacular views. The last 7 km are tough. It gets a lot steeper to the top of the Col le Grand Ballon and you even get a few bends with only cobblestones. Col du Grand Ballon from Soultz is 18.8 kilometers long and covers 1081 meters of elevation with an average gradient of 5.7%. This ride starts in Rimbach-près-Guebwiller with a short descent.
