Coming from Altomünster, the Ilmtaltour leads from the connection to the Amper-Altmühl cycle path in Priel on the Bavarian network for cyclists along the Ilm down to Vohburg a.d.Donau, where it meets the Danube cycle path. The route mainly uses well-maintained cycle paths and country lanes, with little traffic between Geisenfeld and Vohburg on the Danube.
