Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote – March 18, 2023

The bike course is three laps of a 40km loop. Two full laps of 40km each and then a short lap of 10km. It starts at the Marina Rubicón in Playa Blanca on the south coast of the Island. Heading North we ride into the prevailing winds and climb to Maciot (260m) followed by a descent through Las Brenas before climbing again to Yaiza and into the Timanfaya National Park (220m). The ride out is tough, but we get a reward when we reach the turn point at the north end of the loop and head downhill and downwind towards Playa Blanca. I have recorded one lap and noted where you will continue for the second and third laps and where the turn point is for lap three.
