Linlithgow to Avonbridge
A few weeks back I had planned a video taking in the hills to the South of Linlithgow, but ended up getting hopelessly lost and had to cut the route into three shorter videos. In fact, I chose not to publish the middle section of that route as it involved too much doubling up of roads. This video remedies that situation.
The route starts in the West end of the town of Linlithgow and almost immediately starts the long slow climb through the hills around Torphichen before reaching the town of Bathgate. Along the way are some lovely quiet country roads, and for once with some sunshine, giving some great views across the Firth of Forth. From Bathgate, we head further West along some uninteresting roads to the town of Armdale before we turn North to head back towards Linlithgow but this time I stopped the video in the village of Avonbridge as I have filmed the routes from there many times before.
