Begin your walk in Nieuwpoort along the canal Veurne-Nieuwpoort, a wide, straight waterway bordered by willows and reeds. The path is flat and easy, offering peaceful views of the expansive polder landscape. You'll see cows grazing in the distant fields and small boats cruising slowly on the canal. At the end of the canal, turn onto the Koolhofvaart, a smaller, more intimate canal. The scenery becomes greener, with lush meadows and vibrant wildflowers. The sound of birdsong fills the air as you continue your journey. Eventually, you'll reach the kinderboerderij De Lenspolder, a charming farm where children can interact with various animals. This lovely walk is a perfect blend of tranquil waterside paths and classic Flemish countryside.
