描述
Ride starts in Ashington, which was the biggest mining village in the world at one time. We go into Bothal Village ,sadly the castle is hidden. As we go up look out for a McLaren 570V8 coming towards you.We continue to "Robin of Pegswood" statue, which was made to commemorate the Miners from Pegswood, and Miners in general. We follow the bike path to take a turn to Hebron, turning right at the old Blacksmith's shop on Dungaits farm.Up a nice little rise to Cockle Park and onto Tritlington. We continue to Widdrington passed reclaimed land from the opencast past, wich had a brickyard to the left at Stobswood ,then over Ulgham Ford, onto a steep little click.Down to Linton where there also used to be a colliery,we then come back to Ashington.Despite being Mining orientated this is a nice ride steeped in History. Thanks for looking/riding this route
