Scherpenzeel, De Haar, 3925 MS Scherpenzeel, Netherlands
描述
The old shooting range in Scherpenzeel, once a training ground for the resilience association and later the Scherpenzeel Shooting Club, has undergone a transformation. Initially established in 1866, the association consisted of skilled marksmen who could contribute to averting danger when needed. Over time, the range became a hub for shooting competitions, attracting participants from neighboring towns. However, it faced periods of inactivity during World War I and when occupied by the German forces during World War II. Today, the shooting range has been restored and repurposed as a nature reserve, offering visitors an opportunity to explore its history while enjoying a leisurely walk through its picturesque surroundings.
