Hike up the Pidurangala Rock 🇱🇰☀️⛰️🪨🧗🏼🥾

Sigiriya Rock or Lion Rock 🦁 - ever heard of it? It is one of the absolute tourist highlights of Sri Lanka 🇱🇰. Not only because the rock simply looks crazy, but above all because King and patricide Kashyapa I of Anuradhapura built a fortress there 👑. However, we won't be joining the crowds of tourists and climbing Sigiriya Rock ourselves, but would rather concentrate on the Pidurangala Rock 🪨 right next door, which is about the same height - fewer people, a gigantic view and a sleeping Buddha 🪷. But be careful where you step, because just as we are about to start, a tourist with a broken leg is being carried down... 🩻 and indeed there is something to climb at the end 🧗🏼. So we apologize if it gets a bit bumpy there. But afterwards you'll have a killer view of Sigiriya Rock - we promise! 🤞🏼
