Cycling legend Eddy Merckx won his very last race on September 17, 1977 in Ruien (Kluisbergen). The Eddy Merckx route starts at the place where the 'Cannibal' last triumphed. The slopes that always appear on the route of the Tour of Flanders or other Flemish cycling classics: the Oude Kwaremont, the Paterberg, the Kluisberg and the Hotond are of course included in this route, but for this Kinomap video we leave the Oude Kwaremont and the Paterberg on the left for an alternative route that is still worthwhile.
