Leoben 🚶 In December

Healthy life, in peace and dignity - FOR ALL! May the New year 2025 be better than this one! ☮ Make love, not war. Stay free! Peace! ☮ Stress in December? Well, if buying and cooking are your problems, then you are a lucky one - you can say no to what you dislike and choose what you like... Here, a poem I remember from my young days:

Walt Whitman: When I Heard the Learn’d Astronomer.

"WHEN I heard the learn'd astronomer; / When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me; / When I was shown the charts and the diagrams, to add, divide, and measure them; / When I, sitting, heard the astronomer, where he lectured with much applause in the lecture-room, / How soon, unaccountable, I became tired and sick; / Till rising and gliding out, I wander'd off by myself, / In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time, / Look'd up in perfect silence at the stars."

or, translated in another language: 

"Dok slušah učenog astronoma, / Dok brojke i dokazi bejahu preda mnom svrstavani u kolone, / Dok mi bejahu pokazivane karte i dijagrami, da ih saberem, podelim i premerim, / Dok sam sedeći slušao astronoma kako drži to predavanje uz mnogo pljeska u sali, / Brzo se, neuhvatljiv, umorih i zasitih toga, / A onda ustadoh, izvukoh se i odšetah sam samcit / U tajnoviti, vlažni noćni vazduh, gde s vremena na vreme / Podizah pogled, bezglasno, ka zvezdama."
