Hi Alex! It is not my habit to comment before "riding" a video, but this one is really superb. As if I were there with a camera - with a bunch of problems and dilemmas in "real time" :) For you it was a "Per aspera ad astra" mission, but the result justifies the effort! We enjoyed watching it - the nature is beautiful! It was a surprise to see the tents - in France (and maybe also in Spain?) free camping is obviously allowed. Not so here in Austria, unfortunately. Thank you, all the best, and take care!

Hi BorutOnTour, thanks for your comment. Laurenti Lake was a must go recommendation from a friend and I was glad to follow it. I don’t know exactly what’s the law, but I think the tents can only be there during the night and you are supposed to remove them in the very early morning. I was vey lucky because 5 minutes after I finished the hike going around the lake, an intense fog covered the lake. My wife and some friend walked more slowly than me and when they arrived to the lake, they couldn’t see anything. At least they have my video! This summer I will try to hike to Roc Blanc, the summit on top of the lake. Stay tuned!

@Alex: Huh, I see on the OSM that Le Roc Blanc is 2542m! That was about the highest I have done in my life - Grintovec, Slovenia, 2558m. But I was a teenager then... Take care! All the best, Borut
Sunshine nonstop hike from Cabane du Counc to the beatuful Laurenti Lake in the Ariege / Oriental Pyrenees. Initially it is pretty steep and you can hear me breathing hard, but when reaching the lake, it's an easy hike going around it,
