Donner Lake is a high elevation (5936 ft / 1809 m) lake in the Tahoe-Truckee area. It is known for the beautiful scenary and great fishing (salmon, trout). Donner Lake is among the most beautiful of California's leading recreation lakes. A dense pine forest surrounds the lake, while rows of picturesque mountains rise in the distance.
