Part 2 of our adventure takes us deeper into history and nature! We follow the forest trails to the Stone Cottage (Steinhytta), a fascinating hand-built stone shelter believed to be a centuries-old retreat for hunters, fishermen, or travelers seeking refuge in the wild. With its rugged stone construction and hidden location, this historic gem blends perfectly into the surrounding landscape.
From the Steinhytta, we follow lush green forest trails, winding through dense trees and soft terrain, before making our way back to Kalvøysund Fort. As we return to the WWII-era fortress, we get a new perspective on its historical significance and stunning location along the Norwegian coastline.
