Leaving central Svolvær, your kayak follows the stone breakwater out toward the mouth of the harbour. The Fisherman’s Wife statue stands as a graceful sentinel, welcoming vessels to Lofoten’s busiest port. Light reflects off the calm surface, and the contrast between harbour life and open sea becomes more vivid. The rhythm of the paddle slows as mountains rise ever larger ahead. Next, we’ll enter a narrow canal along Svolvær’s iconic fisherman’s cabins. Don’t forget to like and follow.
