Gorgeous day in Detroit! We start off at Little Caesar’s Arena where the Detroit Pistons basketball team and Detroit Redwings hockey teams play. We go past the home of the Detroit Tigers baseball stadium and Ford Field, home of the Detroit Lions football team. You can see the famous Fox Theatre as we head down Woodward Avenue into the heart of downtown. Look left to see the iconic Spirit of Detroit statue as we head into Hart Plaza right in front of the Detroit River. That is Canada on the other side. As we exit, look for the statue of Cadillac, the French founder of Detroit. This is where he landed in 1701. Up next is General Motors World Headquarters. Then we head back north, past the ornate Wayne County Government building. We go under the People Mover monorail track and take a right to see Greektown with its bars and restaurants and casino. Next up is the Detroit Opera House, the Wyland whale mural, and back up Woodward past Little Caesar’s World Headquarters. We end at the doors of the arena. Enjoy!!
