Beschreibung

Next we turn back after passing Kastelholmen, a small citadel to paddle back towards the Royal Palace. When the flag was up that usually meant the king was at home but the tradition is not been kept and it may be up independently of his presence. Due to currents we turn back and as we turn we see the most exclusive hotel, Grand Hotel facing the castle. We paddle by the old city, Gamla Stan and at the end of the island we can see a new bridge linking with Södermalm called "Golden bridge" which was assembled in China and shipped to Sweden in a special platform. The bridge measures 58meters and weights 3700 tons.
