Pollença to la Victoria

I had a short holiday in the Northern part of Mallorca at the end of September 2021. I've always wanted to try cycling there but despite many previous holidays in the area I've never managed to find the time to do so. However, this time I found I was staying just around the corner from a bike hire shop so arranged a few short rides in the middle of my holiday. This is the first of three pre-planned routes.

This circular route starts in the lovely old town of Pollença where I was staying and heads, initially to the coastal town of Puerto Pollença, before heading along the shoreline to Alcudia and then takes a short detour that was recommended to me by the bike shop owner for the scenery - and he was certainly right. The views across the bay to Alcudia, Puerto Pollença, and Formentor are stunning. We then run along the coast to Ca'n Picafort before turning inland to Sa Pobla and then back to Pollença can be found in the following videos. The split between the last two videos is not quite at Sa Pobla as I had to stop to change a puncture - no fun in 27c heat with little shade!

This was also my very first time cycling on the right side of the road. Can you spot how many times I got it wrong in the first kilometre!
