Welcome to the West Highland Way playlist. Why not challenge yourself and join us on our journey along the West Highland Way either walk, run or cycle the famous West Highland Way in Scotland. The full route, which has been recorded in 22 Kinomap videos runs from Milngavie, Glasgow to Fort William, with a distance of approximately 104 miles (168 km). The West Highland Way follows a mixture of countryside footpaths, forest tracks, hills and mountain paths and will take you through tranquill villages and along the stunning Loch Lomond. The West Highland Way is undoubtedly the most famous long distance hiking trail in Scotland and the most popular walking route of all the long distance routes in Scotland. Offering stunning scenery across the Scottish Highlands with ample support services along the route, the route is one of my favourite multi-day hikes. About 36,000 people complete the WHW each year. With only about 14,700 feet of elevation gain and loss, the West Highland Way is suitable for walkers, runners and cyclists of all abilities. A message from Martin Crankshaw. I walked the full route and it took me 29 hours and 12 minutes, amazing walk and beautiful memories. The world record for running the route is 13 h 41 m 8 s. (not set by myself ha ha) Do you think you can beat this!!!!!!!!!!
