This collection of rides is the first day of a longer cycling holiday starting in the French town of Carcasonne in Occitania, heading west towards the Atlantic coast and subsequently into the Spanish Basque Country. This section ends in the metropolis of Toulouse. The ride roughly follows the Canal du Midi, an 17th. c marvel of engineering.
