The Path of the Legends of Gerra Verzasca is a circular walk. Just follow the fox that appears on the signs along the route and on the panels to start the magic, to discover the places populated by characters, stories and legends of the Verzasca Valley. The forest is a place that stimulates imagination. So along the way you can read stories of talking animals, witches, Crüsc, devils and saints that animate the woods, mountains, the river or the caves of the Verzasca Valley. Legends such as that of the Criiscs, the elves who lived in the caves on the Mergoscia Mountains, of the gold in a lake of Verzasca, of the hunter of Sonogno or of the man of the forest are the ancient and profound expression that gives name to fears, to the challenges of the human being in the face of the trials of life shared with nature.
