The Calima, a wind from Africa full of dust and sand, can sometimes throw a spanner in the works on Tenerife. This was also the case at the time of the descent from Teide towards Granadila via Vilaflor. So no blue sea in the depths... but don't worry: plunge into the descent and it is worth it even without blue.
