Description

Koralpe Mountain, also known as the Koralm is located in southern Carinthia, Austria on the border of Styria, Austria and also Slovenia. This ride takes you from the village of Gemmersdorf located at 567 metres at the foot of the Koralpe, to the village of Pontnig at 924 metres. We ride along narrow roads that afford lovely sunny views over the Lavanttal valley. Upon reaching Pontnig, we descend along a wooded gravel track down to Ragglach, before returning to Gemmersdorf. We finish at the 'Schaumühle' (Show mill) in Gemmersdorf. The working mill was built in 1997 as a reminder of the 20 mills that used to exist along the Gemmersdorfer Bach.
