Lake Delio (also called D’Elio) is located between Monte Borgna (1158 m) and Monte Cadrigna (1300 m).
It is a lake of natural origin but the subsequent construction of two dams at the ends has completely changed its original appearance.
Characteristic of the lake is its use for energy production. During the day the lake water passes from the turbines of the power plant ending up in Lake Maggiore. During the night and on weekends, when the demand for energy is less, it is pumped back up to the lake, ready to be reused with a new fall.
