Sanborn County Park is a lushly wooded park of 3,453 acres, nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountains in Northern California, between Saratoga and Skyline Boulevard. This mountain park of redwoods and tan bark oak, offers hiking, hike-in camping, RV camping and picnicking opportunities year-round.
California's giant redwood trees are a sight to be seen, growing to a height of more than 300 feet and a width of more than 20 feet. Redwoods are so huge, a single tree itself can be habitat for an incredible number of species, including other plants and whole communities of worms, insects, salamanders and mammals. California's coast redwoods (Sequoia sempervirens) thrive on the North Coast of California; the only place in the world that provides the environment they need to grow.
