Description

Alps to Ocean Trail

This is a multi day event over 5 days. The first day is separated as "1a" and "1b" to allow for the helicopter flight to the next section.

This rides starts at the head of Lake Pukaki and follows a cycle track down to a Gravel Road. You follow the gravel road along the side of Lake Pukaki to where water is piped from Lake Tekapo to Lake Pukaki. The road is then sealed until the last 3 km of the day which is on a cycle trail again.
