Description

De Veluwe is one of the largest nature reserves in the Netherlands. It is located on a moraine created by the last ice age, i.e. it is a ridge of hills. On the Eastern side is the river IJssel the northernmost branch of the river Rhine. From here the climb up to the Veluwe is quite steep for Dutch standards. This ride starts at De Steeg and climbs the Veluwe before descending and climbing it again. Finally it cruises towards Rozendaal where it descends again. During most of the ride you have nice forests or heath to look at.
