Ascent to the port of Arcalís, 1st Category Special Dificulty (hors catégorie) Port.
Its category is grade 1a sp (very difficult). Andorra Cycling route Arcalís has an average gradient of 6.9% with a difference in level of 724 metres over a distance of 10.5 kilometres. It was on these severe ramps where Ulrich won the stage that gave him victory in the Tour de France in 1997.
