The sport climbing crags of Masso Pirona and Ponze are perfect both for an approach to the discipline and for those who are already experts and want to surpass themselves. The Zacchi Refuge, located in a dominant position above the lake basin, is an excellent point of refreshment and rest, easily reachable also by families with children along the service track. But it will be enough to circumnavigate the two basins along the paths of the banks to live an experience of profound contact with a nature that plays, in Fusine, the role of protagonist actress. I Laghi di Fusine sono uno degli angoli più caratteristici della montagna del Friuli Venezia Giulia costituendo un mondo naturale a sé stante. Due bacini di origine glaciale, uno superiore e l’altro inferiore, collegati da un sistema sotterraneo di acque che d’inverno si fanno ghiaccio in uno degli angoli più freddi di tutta l’Italia. La magia del freddo a Fusine è la storia bianca del gelo che disegna i suoi cristalli sulla superficie ghiacciata di questi bacini, o la candida coltre polverosa che ricopre la foresta lasciando spazio a sentieri bianchi dove addentrarsi nella meraviglia con le ciaspole o gli sci. L’autunno ha riflessi d’ambra sui laghi e i colori della natura che si addormenta riempiono la tavolozza delle emozioni assieme all’esplosione di fioriture della bella stagione. I laghi guardano alle montagne vicine. La dorsale delle Ponze e il Mangart, enorme cupola grigia che svetta sullo sfondo, sono il terreno ideale per escursioni, ferrate ed arrampicate tra le più impegnative dell’intero arco alpino. Le falesie per l’arrampicata sportiva del Masso Pirona e delle Ponze sono perfette sia per un approccio alla disciplina sia per chi, già esperto, vuole superare sé stesso. Il Rifugio Zacchi, situato in posizione dominante al di sopra della conca lacustre, è un ottimo punto di ristoro e riposo, facilmente raggiungibile anche dalle famiglie con bambini lungo la carrareccia di servizio. Ma basterà circumnavigare i due bacini lungo i sentieri delle sponde per vivere un’esperienza di profondo contatto con una natura che gioca, a Fusine, il ruolo di attrice protagonista.
