This ride starts above the Kemmelberg and forms the beginning of the final of the cycling classic Gent-Wevelgem. On the way to Menen you will also be confronted with the Scherpenberg, the Baneberg and the difficult final ascent of the Kemmelberg (side of Ossuaire). This route follows the official UCI route of the race. The stage does finish in Menen, while the official race only ends 15 km further, in Welvelgem.
