Description

Walk in Barcelona during Sant Jordi, celebrated every April 23rd in Catalonia. It’s not the national day of Catalonia but it is probably the most important fest for citizens, with the most important streets closed to the traffic and fully taken by pedestrians. The tradition is to make a present of either a book or a rose to your loved ones. Book authors are on the streets, and there are long lines to get the books that you have bought signed by the author. During the walk you will see many many people but also La Pedrera and Casa Batlló, from the famous architect Gaudí. Use this video to experience Sant Jordi in Barcelona but disregard it if you are looking for empty roads because Sant Jordi is just the opposite!
