This is a segment the Chief Ladiga trail starting just east of Piedmont, Alabama and ending at the old train station in Jacksonville, Alabama. There is some overlap with the first segment video, through the town of Piedmont.
The Chief Ladiga Trail is a 33-mile rail trail that stretches from the Alabama-Georgia state line to Anniston. It is on the same rail corridor as the Silver Comet Trail in Georgia.
The combined Chief Ladiga - Silver Comet trails provide a 90-mile corridor available for non-motorized travel from just west of Atlanta, Georgia to Anniston, Alabama.
