The 'Col de la Chambotte' is one of my favourite small cols. The climb from the south is not very steep (but reserve some energy for the last 700m), the roads are very quiet, and the scenery is nice and mixed. And finally, the downhill towards 'Lac du Bourget' is very spectacular (see for example up&down). Enjoy!!
