Description

Start with an easy, gentle uphill followed by a downhill. Finish with a short final hard uphill. You will see:

Weir and aqueduct (rebuilt in 2019-2021), originally built up around 1903 and - according to the memorial plate ("Erbaut mit russischen Kriegsgefangenen 1915-1918.") - built further between 1915-1918 by the Russian prisoners of WWI.
Old Roman bridge, probably built by Roman legionaries, or maybe local population and slaves around 150 a.C. First written mention in 1454.
Hydroelectric power station and a part of another aqueduct, built in a year and a half by the imprisoned persons during WWII. More details and a long walk along that aqueduct in another video: "Underwater we go!" (more history there).
Three gravestones in memory of imprisoned persons who lost their lives at the aqueduct site during WWII.
