Orrido dello Slizza

Lo Slizza (Gailitz in tedesco, Slize in friulano[1], Ziljica in sloveno) è un torrente che scorre in Italia e in Austria. Nasce presso Sella Nevea e dopo aver percorso la val Rio del Lago giunge a Tarvisio e si ingrossa in quanto riceve alcuni affluenti. Riceve quindi il Rio di Fusine presso la frazione di Coccau ed a Thörl entra in Austria, dove bagna Arnoldstein e poi sfocia nella Gail che, a sua volta, sfocia nella Drava, che confluisce nel Danubio. The Slizza (Gailitz in German, Slize in Friulian[1], Ziljica in Slovenian) is a torrent that flows in Italy and Austria. It rises near Sella Nevea and after flowing through the Rio del Lago valley it reaches Tarvisio and swells as it receives some tributaries. It then receives the Rio di Fusine near the hamlet of Coccau and at Thörl it enters Austria, where it bathes Arnoldstein and then flows into the Gail which, in turn, flows into the Drava, which flows into the Danube.
