Description
This ride starts at Woodhorn Colliery (Museum now) we go to the coastpassed Lynemout Colliery site,Alcan was on the left at the old windmill. We go through Cresswell opposite way to way the Tour of Britain came.Look out for the concrete war bunker in shape of cottage on the right as we hit a little hill.We head back to Widdrington Village then Station with all the open cast works reclaimed now. They do a good job putting land back together. After that we go throgh Ulgham Grange onto Linton where another colliery was.Coming back to finish on where Ashington "Pit" was ,you would never know all these mines existed. This was a historic ride for me bringing back memories of days gone by. I ride all my filmed rides in the small ring,so I can keep the video as smooth as I can. This is a flat course, one where you will be able to be on the rivet.Enjoy.
