Stockingfield to Kirkintilloch
The video here covers a longer ride along the Forth and Clyde canal from Glasgow to Kirkintilloch. This one covers just the latter part from Stockingfield Junction through to Kirkintilloch. Stockingfield is a bit of a building site at the moment because of a huge £12.5m project to install a bridge over the canal junction that will connect the three communities of Ruchill, Gilshochill and Maryhill. You can read and see more of this ambitious project here. Once complete we will no longer have to leave the cycle paths at this junction. This video is an easy, flat ride along the canal towpath. It was filmed on a sunny day at the height of Autumn with plenty of leaves on the ground.
