Starting from Bischofshofen, the Alpe Adria cycle path travels through along the banks of the Salzach river to Sankt Johann im Pongau. At this point, we are following the same route as the Eurovelo 7 and the Eurovelo 14. We then get a choice of routes (a gentle route, or a hillier route - both are marked on signage). In this video, the choice is the hillier route that rewards you with superb views before descending into Schwarzach im Pongau. We then climb again, this time more sustained and through the Klamm tunnel as we enter the Gastein valley. We then travel through the village of Klammstein and onwards to the picture-postcard town of Dorfgastein. Also in 4K UHD on youtube: https://youtu.be/fAF8IzTb5ws
